Customer Complaint

I bought a new dryer, a new electrical dryer cord & metal dryer vent & was told to leave them in the original packaging & the installer would use them because they couldn't use anything that's already existing in the dryer space. The original delivery guys didn't even take it out of the box on August 31, 2021. I called the 800# & the local store who assured me someone would be out to hook up my dryer correctly. Dwight Gray, Gray's Installation who subcontracts with Home Depot showed up to my house, 2 1/2 hrs late, was very rude & unprofessional. He told his worker to hurry up so they could go home. He did not hook the dryer cord up correctly & tried to force it in my outlet upside down until I said something to him. He left parts out of the plug hookup so it's dangerous at this moment. He refused to hook up the new vent as well & taped my old, plastic vent to my new dryer which goes against everything Home Depot says on their website & in store when you buy a new appliance. I've dealt with several managers at the store & 1 assured me he'd hire another subcontrator to come & install my dryer correctly but it's almost 2 weeks & my dryer is still sitting there, not fixed right & I'm unable to use it safely. This is very unprofessional of Home Depot & I'm not paying for an appliance I cannot use. Resolution Sought Provide a subcontractor, NOT Dwight Gray (he has a bad reputation if you look) & fix my new dryer correctly according to what I was promised & what they state in their paperwork & on their website so I can use my dryer.

This information was sent out to our legal team to handle from here. Please be advised that customer could not be installed because her ductwork is out of date and not up to code. She was advised as soon as she gets it fixed correctly, we can send a representative to correctly install her dryer.
