Company Response

4/10/2024

Company states: The customer purchased an OEM Honda steering shaft, part number: 53310-HPS-600, from our Amazon Store on February 27th, 2024. We shipped the part to them the next day and it was delivered on march 1st. The packaging for the part has a red Honda sticker label with the part number. Without that sticker we would not know what part to take from our stock and ship out to the buyers and if the label was not present at the time of the sale we would not send it. The customer sent back a completely different part in the packaging we sent them. The length, thickness and general build of the part sent back is visibly different from the part the customer ordered and received. Before the part was shipped back to us we asked the customer what the part number was on the original packaging, but we did not get any reply. Upon the return of the different/wrong part, we noticed that the Honda label had been torn off of the packaging. The original packaging is in good condition other than the part number label being removed. We ship thousands of orders a year and we have not had a mail carrier tear off any stickers or labels on any of our other shipments. We informed the buyer that we would not be able to issue a refund for the order because the wrong part was sent back to us in place of the part we sent and the manufacturers label with the par number was torn off. We have supplied Amazon with photos of the wrong part being returned to us, what the correct part looks like in comparison to the part returned and the damage to the original packaging label. If the item being returned is materially different, Amazon allows the sellers to issue a 100% restocking fee for the order. We have complied with all of Amazon's return and refund policies for the order being returned with the wrong part.
