Hoppe Built Construction complaints

On 3/4/22, a project for a fence, DG and Turf of the back portion of our yard was agreed upon via text message for $6000. We made is plainly clear in text messages which were acknowledge that our budget was strict. It was greed via text on 3/4 at 1:24 pm to the project. Same day a check for $4500 was dropped off to have the project begin. Nothing was signed by either my self nor my husband, It was all based on word. The project was slow moving and on 3/ 28, I sent an email stating how unhappy I was about the fence. I was met with unprofessionalism and blame. After working it out, the fence continued. We were asked for an additional $1000 to gather the turf supplies. $800 was given in cash and no said turf supplies have been ordered nor delivered. On 4/21/22 we reached out again showing pictures and emails that the fence is not done and not stable. We were met with unprofessional text messages and email. The company was blaming us and stating that to fix the fence that isn't finished will cost more money. Stating that by putting a down payment is agreeing to a bid that was not signed nor gone over and reflects what was not discussed via text message nor agreed upon. We have no turf and a fence that is not safe nor stable. We requested $1800 and was denied. We are certain that the receipts do not add up to the cost of materials nor does the product meet our approval. This business is not for the customer, and the customer is held at fault. Resolution Sought We would like $1800 back from the company. We will now have to hire another company to do the turf and fix the fence that was not completed. We have had another company come out and the fence is not constructed properly.
