I was exposed to bloodborn pathogens. A towel from a former guest, or some source other than myself had blood caked on the backside of, It. It was not visible when the towel was hanging on the rack. I took a shower and when the dried blood hit my wet skin there was blood on my arm and various parts of my body. I told management, gave them the towel and they threw the towel in the laundry. I asked for a complaint form, they said they did not have one. They asked me for a statement, but would not give me a copy. The manager said that it was an e-mail from an employee to him. That i could not have it. They offered me a bottle of wine, a free entre, a one night stay. They either had no procedure in Place to deal with bio hazards or they minimized it to protect themselves. There were no other hotels in town, no shuttle to the airport, no busses and no openings at hotels in other towns eve. If I could get there. I was mortified. I called my doctor. He said that I would be OK only if I did not get the blood on a cut or some other firm of entry. I used that towel in many places. I have no way of knowing if I was exposed. My credit card company said I had to pay the bill even though I had nowhere to go. This is a very serios matter. Please let me know if the BBB can help. Resolution Sought Contact the business to resolve the issue and get my money back. Report this to agencies that have a need to know. Post the complaint so that others may see it .
