Well we had a big freeze out here in Crockett , Tx. ERCOT did not ensure against loss of power and so we lost power for nearly a month. Our home took heavy damages as a result of this freeze up due to the large amounts of ice build up that our heating and cooling system would normally have handled . Afterwards as we spent a lot of money on materials we began making repairs and then one day the electric company sent out a notice stating that high winds were coming and there was danger of electric service disruptions once again. Well the power company never did one thing when there was tons of ice hanging from the lines to the side of the house. Then the high winds tore loose the power lines somehow or something . Anyway my house burned down. The fire dept. showed up and could not spray water on the house because the breaker on the power pole did not trip. The power lines were jumping around in the yard because they were live. The power company eventually arrived but the house was a total loss. I have the wires where they burned off in pieces on the ground. My insurance company payed on the property but it was barely enough to cover the costs of cleanup . Much less than the true costs that were incurred as a result of losing everything in the fire and not nearly enough to purchase building materials to rebuild our home. We lost family items such as antique chifforobes ,beds, furniture, irreplaceable family photos and memorabilia. I think we are owed an appropriate amount . Resolution Sought I want my home replaced in an equitable manner and I want them to pay the final costs for fully restoring our home that our insurance did not allow for.
