I signed up for hughesnet because it was the only provider for my area. The service was horrible and very slow. When I called I addressed the slow internet issue. He convinced me to switch to a service with higher speed for more a month. I agreed to try it out and see how it works. After moving from the service adress I called to deactivate our services. The lady convinced me to go on "suspension" which would charge me 14.99 a month, which I did agree to. Once the billing cycle came about they charged me the full amount of $100. I called up two different times because of losing the call the first time. The second lady I spoke with was telling me that the 100 went into credit. I told I did not approve of that and I was told it would be 14.99 a month. I requested deactivation and a refund in March of 2024. The lady stated that I would only get $70 refunded back to me, and it wouldn't be until the next payment cycle. There was understanding that someone would be picking up equipment from the previous adress. Fast forward to Sept 2024 and there is a $30 transaction from my account. I called and talked to a lady who tried telling me I've been using my service. During the phone call she recited that I talked to them twice in March, later on stated that I did "not" do so. They once again refused a refund and told me it would be $160 to deactivate my account for early deactivation. I've reported them to my bank for fraud. They still continue taking money from me till this day. Resolution Sought I would like a refund of the $100 they took from me in March 2024. If not the full amount, then the $70 I was supposed to be refunded. The $30 they charged me in Sept, as well as the $160 they charged me this month. I would love for this business to be shut down as there are MANY reviews for it being fraudulent. To my understanding some of their customers have made reports as well.

Recently purchased a New Retirement home in Bunckingham, Kelseyville, Ca. Purchased Wifi from them with the understanding that it was a great service provider for the area less than 40days and the service has been Terrible ever since. Complained about it originally within, 15-days, wasn't resolved, then complained again, a week or 2 later, where they upsold the wife to a supposed better quality plan, it also hasn't worked @ all. Both adults husband and wife do all their work via online, so quality wifi is a must. Then called again and spoke to a so called manager named Francisco who had Terrible people/customer service skills and was Rude and uncouth as hell. Was then told theyd 'd have to pay a Cancellation fee of $400+ dollars to get out of contract to get a better service provider with 10 tames Better service and 1000mbs to their 100-200mbs @ Hughesnet. Fully disrespected and angered to the Fullest, for the Rude and Terrible nature of the company and the Manager Francisco, he needs, or I suggest him to be Terminated as an employee!!! Resolution Sought I would like the Bus to simply allow them to cancel service/contract its only barely past the 30 day period they've complained about their service or lack their of since 10 days after installation. So, really I would simply like for the Hughesnet to 1st Fire or Reprimand a so called Manager Named Francisco in the Lake County offices for he's Completely Rude, Disrespectful, and uncouth Customer service skills or lack their of. And then 2nd, simply just allow them to Cancel the Contract.
