I was having engine problems my check engine light was on in my 1996 Dodge Ram B2500 van, I also had a knocking noise coming from the bottom of my engine, I was recommended to take my van to "IG Diego Engine And Transmission Rebuilders" by a mechanic I know, I made contact wit the business by phone late January around the 25th or 26th 2024 inquiring about repairing my van, they suggested the proper course of action would be to run a diagnostic test the results of the test would give them a better idea of what needed to be repaired, we agreed, they said they could send over a tow truck to pick up the van, they didn't think it was a good idea to drive with the van making knocking noises. They sent some guys over to pick up the van a few hours later. Within the next two days a representative from IG Diego contacts me by phone stating from the findings of the diagnostic test they performed, they recommend a complete engine rebuild. They quoted me a price of $2,925 for labor plus any necessary parts, they informed me they would be able to get started with a deposit of $1000 I agreed to everything up to that point, i took a trip down to IG Diego to sign the paper work and drop off the $1000 deposit . A couple of days later a representative from IG Diego contacts me to inform me the engine had been removed and they recommend a list of parts to be replaced, I should come down to the shop so they can visually show me what they had discovered, I head down to the shop, to over look the Resolution Sought i would like the business to refund me $2500 cash the portion that i paid them in cash
