On Friday February 16 2024 at approximately 1:30pm, I called a cab to take me from one location to another. The cab arrived approximately just before 2pm. As I started to put my belongings into the back seat, I saw a bed bug crawling on the back seat. The cab driver Markita, attempted to use her hand to swat the bed bug out of the vehicle. I had to use my cane to push it onto the pavement and kill the bug. Markita stated, " It's probably because they just sprayed the car." I then asked her if the company knew there were bugs in the vehicle why they were still using it? She then stated, " that the company was unaware of the infestation, but sprays regularly." I still had to take the cab because I had no other transportation. I also had to pay for a ride that should have been free of charge. Once arriving at my destination, I sat my belongings on the porch to check for bugs. There was a bed bug crawling on my bag that had been placed in the trunk of the car. Resolution Sought I would like a refund from the business, and I would also like the company to have all vehicles inspected for bed bugs, and treated. Many people in this town have no choice but to use the cab company, as it is the only one in town.
