On 3/22/23 I signed up for a yearly gym membership with I Love Kickboxing. I signed a contract with the gym and paid in full for the amount of $1,639. On October 13th, 2023, the owner, Lindsey Gabrielsen, sent an email stating the gym will be closing its doors on October 30th. She stated she wasn't sure if she would be able reimburse individuals for their memberships, but would know more once they sell off assets. On November 28th, Lindsey Gabrielsen, sent an additional email stating she wouldn't be able to reimburse individuals their money and suggested filing a dispute with their individual credit card companies. In addition, she states she might have to file bankruptcy or set up a payment plan with the bank. Meanwhile she is making Facebook post about traveling across the country with her family, but claims she has no money to pay her gym members back. Resolution Sought I would like them to reimburse the money to individuals. They continued to accept yearly memberships months and even weeks prior to closing their doors, knowing their finances were in jeopardy. They made their problems their members problems and took advantage of individuals. They stole from hard working families.
