BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Complaints allege failure to provide services as agreed upon and difficulty obtaining refunds. Complainants generally allege that the company did not properly handle their cases with the Internal Revenue Service or negotiate settlements as agreed. Some customers allege the company gave specific timeframes as to when the tax matters would be settled but failed to follow through on those guarantees. Other complaints allege the company made unauthorized charges to their credit card accounts, or failed to remove individuals from their mailing lists. Most complaints allege the company failed to return calls or answer inquiries clients made on their accounts.

The company responds to most complaints by advising customers of what services were performed and of their efforts in fulfilling the agreements. In most cases, the company denied refunds stating that the deposits covered the work that was performed in the client’s case. In a few instances the company provided partial refunds to settle the claim. Generally the company refers customers to their contract to review the terms of the agreement and cancellation policies.
