Customer Complaint

6/15/2021

Horrible experience, I purchased a 2002 subaru impreza wrx on March 4th 2021 from above dealership outright. The owner of the dealership (Matthew Hoke) promised me a refund for an engine that they were supposed to put in the car that I installed myself, that is after a month of waiting for them to do it. After months of getting the car in running order, I sent the dealer all of the proper documents to have the registration processed on 5/26/2021. And every time I inquire about the registration I am told lie after lie as to why I have not received my registration or the refund. And I have also lost my job due to not having transportation. Resolution Sought I want to be refunded for the dmv fees and the engine that I was already promised a refund for. I also want the title and any registration documents the dealer has on file so I can process it myself since they have no plans to do so.

Company Response

7/22/21 - REVISED RESPONSE - Company states: I told the customer several times to come get his money to the shop. I was willing to do the engine change, I was booked out over a month. He decided he would do the work himself, so I told him I'd refund $1000. He sent me everything to do registration on the 5/29/21 and I was out of town for 2 weeks. When I got back I did the transfer and told him to come get it, he refused to come to the shop so when I had time I met him half way and gave it to him (refund). *************************************** Consumer was issued a $1000 refund.
