According to New York State Department of motor vehicle regulations we are not allowed to fail a vehicle unless the spring is broken at the time of inspection which it was not. Any New York State certified motor vehicle inspector should know this. With the current conditions of most roads in this country it is highly probable the spring broke after it left our facility. We have attached copies of the invoices for the repairs we performed and referenced the regulation according to the state of New York.

The spring is either broke or not broke at the time of inspection. On this vehicle it was NOT BROKEN. We are not required by the Department of Motor Vehicle to ex-ray suspension components. Let me reiterate: either broken or not broken. The most likely answer is that it broke after it left our facility Please consider the fact this vehicle has over 200,000 miles and should be expected to need above average maintenance.
