I had my taxes done at Jackson Hewitt and decided to have my taxes deposited onto their in house American Express serve card. We are living in a hotel right now and I paid $3,054.00 on February 23,2024. On top of that payment they're holding $3,203.00 which is still being held. I then paid a $700 payment to the hotel on March 1 which they are holding $1400.00 on top of and put me almost $-700 on a prepaid card. So $4763 is being held without my permission and They stated it would be 30 days before the funds are released. I tried calling and it's very difficult to get ahold of an English speaking person let alone anyone that can actually answer my questions thoroughly. Resolution Sought I would just like my money to be back into my account, there is no reason for it to be held for 30 days, let alone triple the amount of my bill.

The person that filed my taxes for me at this location was very rude to me when it came to paperwork that needed to be attended to after the fact that my taxes were filed. Treated me like I was a complete idiot. Told me that these certain letters from the IRS were no big deal and that everything with my taxes was just fine. Which in fact they were not. He told me to stay off of the IRS . Gov web site that I did not know what I was doing. When in fact he was the one without the knowledge of what he was doing. . I went to him and called him several different times regarding questions raised on my tax return and was always told that they did their part and that's all they could do. Now when you pay a preparer to do your taxes you are supposed to have a guarantee that they will help with problem that arise I received no support on this issue. Just treated with disrespect. I have done taxes for over 20 years and the only reason I hired Jackson Hewitt is because I didn't want to mess anything up with gambling winnings and social security. And also the say you are guaranteed a anticipation loan which you don't get and they run your credit and lower your credit score by doing so and they don't inform you they are going to run your credit. Resolution Sought Reimbursement of all my fees

This is a franchise location. Due to this, we must refer the complaint back to the office. A ticket has been opened requesting the office to address this client's concerns. The case number is 709647 and the office has 72 business hours to start a conversation with their client.

Jackson Hewitt worked with the client and agreed to a refund of her state filing fee which was released to her last night.
