Customer Complaint

Caccia Plumbing Contractors were hired to replace 10' run of a 4" sewer lateral. Work was defected by city inspector for failing to install a biobarrier around each new pipe joint. Biobarrier wraps around (N) pipe joints and is installed to prevent roots invading pipes at joint locations. Contractor's technician came to repair a defective work on 07/22/2021. Contractor was paid in full after work was completed. It was discovered next day that biobarrier was only installed to cover up a visible part of each joint , leaving bottom portion of each joint vulnerable to root invasion, exposing owner to citation by city inspector for fraud and substandard work. It is obvious that contractor committed a fraud to get paid and must be reprimanded by Consumer Alliance and Contractors State License Board. Resolution Sought Contractor must finish work in compliance to the West Bay Sanitary District specification and submit a latter of apology to owner of the property and California State.
