I recently had a shed delivered. I asked the crane operator prior if him driving on my sidewalk was going to be a problem. He told me no it would be fine. Afterwards the sidewalk was completely smashed up. I contacted the owner and he advised me they were not responsible and was unwilling to even hear my complaint or concern. My primary issue is I had asked prior and was specifically told it would be not an issue. If he had said there might be then we could have done some things to mitigate the concern prior. Easily could have put wood down or something else to try to avoid the intense damage. If at that point there was still damage but we had tried our best to avoid it then that would have been a different story. Instead I was specifically lied to and then told that they were not liable. Resolution Sought Initially I just wanted the owner to acknowledge my concern and address the issue with his crane operator. You should not lie to customers. Now I would like reimbursement for the cost of the materials for us to redo the entire sidewalk. I am estimating this to be in the $200 range but would be willing to submit an official receipt for the exact amount once materials are purchased.
