Customer Complaint

11/7/2023

I received an estimate for pool plastering on 9/21/23. I was shown a picture of what it would look like. It did not have streaks of cement cream left on the final work. So I decided to go ahead and sign the contract. On 10/03/2023 the workers installed the Stonescapes pebbles plaster. When I got home I and my daughter noticed that there was excess cement cream on the steps. I texted Jose's company on 10/03/23 at 9:20 pm to ask what time would it best to talk to the owner-Jose on 10/04/23. I called Jose on 10/04/23 at 7:45 am, I told him I was concern about the cement cream left on the steps. I asked him to fix it and he said that the cream cement will go away with the acid wash to be done today 10/04. Unfortunately the crew did not properly administered the acid wash and the cement cream remained. When I got home it was late and I could not see. However the next day I noticed that the cream cement had not disappeared. I told the company clerk - coowner. The worker started to fill up the pool with water. 10/6-10/7. They still did not do anything about the excess cement cream. When the pool was complete in water level, the cement cream appeared more noticeable. I asked Jose to come and see that the acid wash did not take the excess cement cream from the steps. He came and did not say anything. I told him I would not pay the last payment until the excess cement cream was gone from the steps. He said he will send someone to fix the steps but it did not work. Resolution Sought I would like the J.B. Pool plastering corp. to give a discount for the inadequate acid washing done on the pool. I understand the poor workmanship on the bottom of the pool can be also credited to the inadequate acid washing as I was told by another professional who installs pebble plastering and I watched the video put up by the manufacturer of the stonescapes pebbles. They did a poor job leaving excess cream cement on the steps. The company needs to be responsible for the poor workmanship.
