I hired the company to do repairs. Do to Mr. woods misrepresenting himself to get the job and not doing what he claimed. Not completing work on Original and revised estimate. Not providing estimates when asked, not doing complete assessment of damages to property. Causing delays and not communicating with me the homeowner. Caused me to fire him and go through appraisal, then file suit against the insurance company. I settled for less than I was suing for with the insurance because it had been two years and they were threatening to delay even longer. I felt my house would be unrepairable to wait that much longer. Their defense was the contractor wouldn't give estimates when asked. Also denied knowledge of some damages even though I had told the adjuster myself, filled out 2 surveys they sent telling them the adjuster was ignoring damage. And called my representative about the adjuster ignoring damage. Their defense was Covid, that they relied in the contractor to provide the pictures and documentation of damage and estimates for repair. After settling with them I sent revised estimate with work supplies that I was suing for the money to be returned with demand letter to Contractor. I filed suit in small claims. I lost suit due to false statements by contractor that I was unable to prove were false at court because I thought it was just money paid and work not done needing proven. He admitted in court he advertised as a contractor, and did not have a contractors license. Resolution Sought The contractor advertises to be licensed and insured 100. If he would have done the inspections and provided the estimates for repair as he was asked to, had any communication skills, I wouldn't be where I am, struggling to get my house fixed due to not enough money. Plus all the debt from appraisal and suit. He touted he worked with insurance companies and knew how to inspect and report damages to have it covered. I have proof of false advertising and I have damages from it.
