Jeff A. Roberts and Associates complaints

My wife and I lost our Home in the wildfires in Altadena in January 2025. We have steadily been working to rebuild our home and our life as we knew it. In early March 2025, we hired a well known and respected contractor to help us with reconstruction. The contractor was very thorough and upfront about all aspects of our rebuild. In July 2025, the contractor had another meeting with us about the rebuild. He said that everything was moving forward and we should expect to begin reconstruction very soon. In early August 2025, we were notified by our contractor that everything should be approved and permits issued pending final corrections by our Design Architect, Jeff Roberts. In the beginning processes of the rebuild we were required to pay Mr. Roberts a fee exceeding $13,000 for his company's services. At the time it seemed rather steep, but we accepted this as a necessity and paid it. As of Oct. 10, 2025, Mr. Roberts office has yet to send all necessary changes to our plans to our contractor's office for final approval and permits to be issued. I have a very difficult time trying to understand why Mr. Roberts' office will not return several emails and phone calls by our contractor to complete this step of the process. It makes me very uncomfortable that Thousands of Dollars have been paid out and no results have been delivered by Jeff Roberts. His reputation as a reliable Architect has been placed into question. We lost EVERYTHING we own in January 2025! How can someone Resolution Sought Produce and delivery the final documents paid for that are necessary to acquire permits for our home to be rebuild.
