Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. This includes how quickly a company responds to complaints, the number of complaints against a company, whether the company addressed complaint allegations, and the outcome of the complaints. CRI is just a subset of the overall rating for the company. Consumers are encouraged to take into consideration the company's CRI, their overall BCA letter rating and other relevant information about the company so they can make a well-informed purchasing decision.

My husband and I SPECIAL ORDERED 3 double hung windows the middle of June. The windows arrived the end of July and were installed the beginning of August. Two of the three windows did not fuction. The top sash on both of the windows could not be lowered. We had to make an appointment for a technician to come to our home approximately 2 1/2 weeks later. The technician was able to fix one of the windows but informed us that the other window was warped beyond repair! A replacemet was ordered - arrival date Sept. 18th-25th. We were on vacation and called Oct. 10th to check on why the window had not arrived. Order was cancelled and no one knew why! A rush was declined on the order. Oct. 30th window arrived. We scheduled our carpenter- and checked window. This window did not fuction and we had to schedule a technician to fix it!!! We had to wait - a rush on getting the technician to fix our window was not allowed!! The window was finally installed middle of November. This meant having to move furniture, pictures from our walls once again, and our carpenter had to remove the beautiful woodwork that he installed the first time and then replace it!!! Resolution Sought Manufacture quality windows! Check windows that are sent to cutomers to make sure they are functioning! Don't send warped windows to customers!! How can a special order window be warped? How can special order windows not function? We plan on replacing several more windows in our home. We do not feel confident in ever using JELD-Wen windows again due to the quality of windows recieved and the service we received to rectify the problems!!
