My car was repoed for not having insurance. Which I completely understand, but was told I had 10 days to get my car back. Company Response

1/4/2023

Company states; Jim Butner Auto Sales received this complaint from Ms. Humphrey about not allowing her to get her vehicle back on the final day of her wait period. Ms. Humphrey called at approximately 12:59pm on 12/1/2022 when her car went to auction at 9am that morning. Clarksville Finance repossessed the vehicle on 11/18/2022 with a hold date of 12/1/2022. Attached I have included a copy of the letter that was sent certified mail to Megan Humphrey at the last known address we have for the customer. I have also included our receipt of mailing it certified and when it was returned to us because Megan Humphrey never picked it up from the post office. The letter says the time and date of the auction as 12/1/2022 at 9am. Also attached is a copy of the "Motor Vehicle Retail Installment Sales Contract." On page 5 of 6 "My Right to Redeem" section states, "My right to redeem ends when the motor vehicle is sold or you have entered into a contract for sale or accepted the collateral as full or partial satisfaction of contract." It was sold at auction for $3,000, which this amount came off of the final amount owed by the customer. We have also included that document (upon request) as well. If any further explanation or documentation is needed, please contact me at the numbers below or email me at Matthew@jimbutnerauto.com.
