I have paid John Aldrich $13,200 in full to remodel kitchen and repair leak in garage. I paid in addition $3,150. He did not finish the work. I hired him January 21 with first installment of $3700. He would not show up when he said he would. He was to finish everything between March 22 - April 5. I was out of town during that time but I had someone at the house all the time while I was away. He only showed up 1 time for 1 hour. Nothing completed. I had to cancel installation of countertop. I sent emails, phone calls, certified letter with no response. I have a signed contract. I decided I didn't want him to complete the job. I sent a letter stating I wanted to settle things between us for money of unfinished labor and any materials that was purchased for the job or the money for those materials. I have hired contractors to finish the remodeling. I have paid $3574 and i will need another contractor to finish backsplash. I have been very stressed, upset during these months. John Aldrich is a fraud, took money from me, took advantage of me for all 5 installments of money from January 21 to February 22, 2023. No work completed. Resolution Sought I want to settle things between us for money of unfinished labor and any materials that was purchased for the job or the money for those materials.
