To inform BBB of the Just Answer Bait and Switch Operation.

My complaint is about a Bait and Switch Operation being run by Just Answer. I called the company's 800 number. She asked me if I wanted the $1.00 answer. I said yes. She said she was sending a link to put in my credit card information. I filled in the credit card information. I saw a charge on my bank account not for $1.00 but for $55.00. I contacted the company via chat. They repeatedly told me when I put in my credit card information I had agreed to a $55.00 membership and that this information was stated in the form where I put in my credit card information. They repeatedly refused a refund. I then called the company and after repeatedly denying the refund and me pointing out Bait and Switch is illegal and stating I was contacting BBB they relented and refunded my $55.00.

Fraud

I was trying to ask about a divorce to only be charged a$5.00 fee. They took out 46! I talked to 3 different people on the phone then finally on the chat after getting a run around, I was given a refund only after I mentioned the bbb. They even said they have an A+ rating! HA! THIS IS A BS COMPANY
