Wrongfully towed and charged to get vehicle back in possession. Company stated tags were expired. I had documentation stating tags were valid. Company denied waiving towing fee with proper documentation shown from Department of Motor Vehicles. Resolution Sought I desire that funds are returned.

My vehicle was towed at 10am and when I found out and called the police at 12 noon to place a police report thinking my vehicle was stolen .The police checked the record to search to see if they had a report of my vehicle being impounded and they found nothing . I continued to check to locate my vehicle that was never place in the system by the Tow company who impounded it. I viewed my neighbors ring camera to see my vehicle was impounded by this company for my Sticker been expired. I contacted the Tow company to ask what was the policy of towing a vehicle in Maryland and the Young man stated that I should haven't contacted the police to locate my vehicle but instead contacted them but my vehicle was never placed in the Teller type system for vehicle being towed and then I had to wait 2 hrs for someone to show up at the lot to retrieve my vehicle that was again never placed in the system as being impounded or towed by this company. I think it's not right or proper practices that u impounded a vehicle and not place it in the system at all. At 730 pm I contacted the Police to see if my vehicle was placed in the system and it was not. My vehicle was towed at 10am my police report was made at 1230pm on August 1,2023. Resolution Sought My desired outcome is for the Tow Company to be handled or fined if they don't follow the proper procedures in impounding vehicles and not placing them in the system to be located if your vehicle is Towed for any reason.
