When I purchased my 2024 Ioniq 6 , I was told it qualified for the $7,500, tax rebate. which was one of the reasons I purchased and traded in my 2016 Hyundai Genesis. I also did not receive the Electrify America charging promotion, so have had to pay out of pocket for charging. I went to do my taxes and was advised this car does not qualify for the tax credit. Very upset with this purchase and did not receive what I was advised during the purchase. I even had to purchase car mats on a seperate bill of sale, since this car did not have floor mats with it, with only 26 miles. Please resolve this matter quickly. Resolution Sought Reimburse the tax credit money of $7,500 and provide additional money for the electrify America that should have been provided for $5,50 totaling $13,000

Nobody in my staff or at my store is authorized "nor" gives tax advice. This purchase was of a pre-owned vehicle and when the question is asked if ever if there is a "future" tax benefit, the consumer is always instructed to go to their tax professional for any "future" tax benefits. I stressed the word future, because at the time of Matts purchase if the Electric vehicle was under $25,000 sale price including our doc fee, there was an instant $4000 tax benefit through the IRS website we could apply for if the customer met the income requirements. Had that been the case on Mr. Schuesslers pricing and qualifications we would have applied at the time of deal and the $4000 would've been an instant down payment benefit on his car deal. The sale price on this vehicle was $32,986.96 after doc fee, so this vehicle did not qualify. Matt Schessler purchased back in April of last year (2024) and this is the 1st time Electrify America has been mentioned to us by Matt, however that is on select models of our electric "New" vehicle inventory only and not pre-owned like Mr. Schuessler purchased last year. After reviewing this entire purchase including all documentation, I find no malicious intent or advise given on our part or misleading information and will not provide a settlement.
