1. Contract stated 2 coats of paint at $1,750 per coat for painting aluminum siding for a total cost of $3,500. First coat was applied from Wed. 6/16 thru 6/18. Second coat was started and completed on 6/18 at the south side of the house. On Monday, 6/21, contractor claimed the 2nd coat of paint was applied on the remaining 3 sides of the house in less than 3 hours. However, two of my neighbors observed the contractor removing the plastic covers from windows and doors and started to hand paint the window upon arrival at my house. When I confronted the contractor, he became angry and told me he painted 2 coats and if I didn't pay him "there was going to be a big problem". I was physically intimidated and afraid he might do some damage to my house so I wrote him a check and it was immediately cashed before I could contact my bank to put a hold on it. 2. There's white paint on my deck umbrella and damage to my brand new pergola from the tape that was used to secure the plastic covering. I've sent pictures to contractor requesting repairs to these items as I have a "1 year warranty on all work". Contractor has not responded to my text. 3. Contractor also did not cover up any nail holes from shutter removals, house numbers, etc. before painting. 4. Contractor's van and website claim he's licensed and fully insured. However, I'm unable to verify his license on LARA and he would not provide documentation. Just told me "he's legal". Resolution Sought I'm requesting assistance to get a refund on the 2nd coat of paint ($1,750) that I don't believe was ever applied and repairs to my umbrella and pergola. Thank you for your assistance!

Company Response

I guess I'll start with we put 2 coats on the house. The white spot on the umbrella is without question not paint. In addition, I responded to her text and told her that I could come out and touch up the small spot on her pergola. The holes that she is referring to is where the shutters were hung. She decided that she wanted trim and no shutters at the end of the job. She bought shutters and was going to have her handyman put them up, she changed her mind and noticed the holes where the shutters were previously installed. Patching those holes wasn't part of the deal, not in the contract. I went above and beyond and the house looks great. In closing, I fulfilled what I was supposed to do & told her I would come back and touch up her pergola.
