Kinecta Federal Credit Union complaints

Finally today, 06/23/22 $5,000 funds available after 3 trips to 2 different branches, talking to 5 employees and 3 phone calls. I disappointed. I was blatantly lied to by employees. I deposited a cashiers check drawn by CHASE for a decent amount. I was told by two employees a hold is placed for 7 days. I asked 3 days seems reasonable by most banks, it is a cashiers check by a major bank, funds can be verified. They refused anything I said and continued with standard script, not even to review policy regarding deposit of cashier's checks. I let time pass but decided to ask in person again 06/23/22 since the next days made the 7 day hold period. I was told the same but I still didn't believe the truthful practice in handling this transaction was in place. I went to the branch on Artesia and after much back in forth with the employee. A manager finally materialized. It was confirmed by him, a cashier's check does provide for a certain amount in available funds and the balance is retained for the seven days. I understood 4 employees were either coached to answer as they did or not equipped to answer questions regarding bank policy and need further training. Also, one employee used the phrase "they can use their discretion " if a person seems legitimate or not. That just did not seem appropriate. Resolution Sought Branch management own up to their error in person to client and train employees effectively. Truthfully honor the business practice as policy is stated and without bias. Pay me the interest accrued over the time period I was denied access to my money. You fear fraud on behalf of of your clients, well now you have represented yourselves fraudulently.

I had covid in 2020 lost 2 jobs and A victim of that EDD fraud. I'm still trying to get back on my feet. I've been making payments the best I can. As a long term Hughe/Kinecta customer of 20yrs, I feel like Kimecta lost its Fairness. I'm sending what I could until my EDD was cleared, I made 3 payments in Aug alone instead they tell me they haven't recvd a payment in 30 days & turned me over to collections. I tried twice to make a deposit to my acct to make more payments & was told they blocked me from depositing money to my acct. What bank won't accept a deposit to make payments. If I can't make deposits to my acct I can't make payments. I'm trying to pay my debt, not dodge my responsibility!!!! Resolution Sought I would like Kinecta to be more compassionate about they're long standing customers. Change the rules of the Deposit block & give customers credit for they're deposit transfers. Remove my Acct from collections on my accountability that I'm at least trying to make payments as a pose to none at all.
