Customer Complaint

On Tues 9/14 my husband had his front windshield replaced on our 1973 Chevy Caprice. He drove home and the windshield cracked because it moved because the above business didn't put it in correctly or installed the wrong windshield. We returned the following Mon 9/20 to have them replace the windshield. They said they would not replace anything. They did not install it wrong and for them to fix it we would have to pay 250.00 again. I showed them the gap that I could stick my fingers through. They said that wasn't the reason why it broke and they did not have to talk to me about anything because I was not the customer. They said they already told my husband there was nothing they could do about it. They also stated in this 2 inch gap between the roof of the car and the windshield there is chrome trim that goes there. I tried to explain we understand that but the trim was not to fill the gap they left. The chrome trim is to cover the joint or seam where the windshield and roof meet, and it sits on top not wedged in between. Also having to drive the vehicle to this location again is very hazardous. The windshield is cracked in so many areas now the possibility of it falling in and braking while driving there for the third time is dangerous for my husband and other drivers on the road. So I feel that is an issue that has now disabled our vehicle. Resolution Sought A refund for the 250.00 we paid for a faulty windshield. I do not trust the safety of my husband or other drivers on the road with the kind of work they do on cars. A windshield braking and falling in on itself while driving could certainly cause an accident and I do not want that responsibility on my shoulders. Like I stated above my vehicle is completely disabled due to the severity of the cracks that randomly appear because the weight of the glass itself is applying stress on the windshield.
