Customer Complaint

The tow company came and pulled my van off of a hill and stared over the phone it would be $1,500.00 for recovery, then stated she would try to work with me. She asked what I could come up with today then stated she would check with her husband. I called other tow services and was quoted a price of $85-$100 for the services provided to me. I reached back out to the company and asked that everything be done over text, she continued to try to call stating in text when I returned her calls she would give me my bill. Over text messages she has now stated the bill would be $500 plus $35 a day for my vehicle. She was not professional in the slightest, and I have kept copies of all the text sent back and forth. Resolution Sought I would like to pay a fair price, and to have my property back.

Company Response

She has already picked her car up and signed off on personally belongings, not sure what she wants back. This call came in after hours. She was drunk at arrival and had went to leave a home she was partying at. The property owners didn't want the law called because driver was DUI she was completely unaware of where she was, and was laying on the hill side when we arrived. At that point I tried to explain a few things about us pulling the van out but she was highly under the influence of drugs/alchohol, she kept yelling saying she didn't care how we got it out. We took the most upright respect for her van. The next morning Ms. Hylton came out to the lot I explained everything in person and she was fine with it. I contacted her insurance company and she didn't have the coverage she thought. I explained again she would have to pay bill and that's when she changed. This van was backed over a hill side that I have pics of. There's no towing company that would have pulled it out any less than $500, $35 a day is storage van sitting on our lot. Each person she talked with was very nice. Workers told her she would need to talk to owner for any other asst. She may need after lieing saying she had gottne a attorney. After that point my office can no longer contact her at all. But she still keep calling. Ms. Hylton called and harassed 2 more of my customers and also the law. The owner talked with the law also and the law said there wasn't any criminal act tht they could see. Ms. Hylton wanted us to charge her what she tought it was worth and explained that a family friend that owns a towing company would have come gotten it out but him and her dad are friends and she didn't want her dad to know she was drunk/high. So she called us. All towing company's own thereselves for the most part, so all will charge different all trucks is different in hour they work so it would be supper hard to get another company to price the job cause they wasn't at the seen with there truck. This was taken looked into by law. She also give wrong info to you all too I have txt saying she was priced at 85-200 not 85-100. But this company can't help you if you wanted to do business otherwise. This customer has signed off on our contract and our damage waiver!!
