Today, December 5th, 2022 at around 5:20pm I was discriminated by a gentleman in the front desk staff at the emergency room. I came in because my birth doctor recommended I come to the hospital for covid testing if I am feeling more ill. When I said why am I here he blatantly yelled out, "why are you here for covid?" Not knowing my exact situation. I feel not only disrespected and discriminated but it was extremely unprofessional for him to scream that out loud. Being 31 weeks pregnant this is extremely inappropriate. I also caught it on recording just by coincidence when he yelled it out. This is the unfair treatment of pregnant women at this emergency service facility. I've been coming here for many years and this is the first time someone here disrespects me in that manner. Something needs to be done. Staff needs better training, I know they are overwhelmed with patients daily but it does not mean I need to be discriminated by a man at the front desk. I hope to hear a response soon. Resolution Sought Better staff training, mental health evaluations for staff members, anything that prevents another pregnant woman to be discriminated again at this facility.

On 02/18/22 I was scheduled for a biopsy. I arrived to my appointment and was instructed I needed to take a pregnancy test. I was asked to wait outside ,I waited in the lobby for almost two hrs and no one ever called me. I decided to leave, on my way home I got a call from the nurse stating that my pregnancy test was positive, that I needed to be scheduled for a prenatal appointment. This appt was scheduled for 3/10/22. I chose to go see my regular doctor to make sure these results were accurate. Their results came back negative. I took 10 pregnancy test at home and all 10 were negative. Just yesterday I got a call from the lab asking me if I was aware I had tested positive for hepatitis B.?! If my lab was from almost two months ago, why the f**** didn't anyone call to share these results with me.??! Why is this just been brought up to me now, as a casual conversation.?! This is my health. The pregnancy misdiagnosed has resulted in emotional distress for my family and my self. I was able to speak with a doctor on 03/03/22, regarding the pregnancy results. She was very helpful and she order more lab work to get a more clear pregnancy results. This morning 03/04/22 I went to the lab to get these blood samples done. An hour later I get another call from the lab, that I need to return because they had an accident with my order and blood sample. I've been misdiagnosed and my health care has been neglected. I need someone to be held accountable. Resolution Sought I want whoever is responsible for these mediocre mistakes held accountable. I will be reaching out to my local news and seeking legal counsel.
