On Sunday, May 31, 2026, I visited Laguna Beach Psychic, also known as Laguna Chakra Spa, at 533 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA. A reader named Sarah told me an evil spirit was causing my problems and that paying for her services would remove it. She promised specific outcomes, including three pieces of paper that would bring me money and a woman who would move in with me. I paid $1,500 in person on my credit card. None of the promised outcomes occurred. When her predictions failed, Sarah blamed the evil spirit and asked for more money. On July 2, 2026, in a telephone call that I recorded, she pressured me to pay an additional $5,600, including $2,500 for candles, with the remainder for her meditation. On the recording she guarantees results, promises her work will fix a medical condition I described to her, warns that my organs could start failing, tells me no woman will stay with me, and says the spirit is making me doubt her so that I will not spend the money. I refused to pay more. On July 3, 2026, I filed report number 26-02161 with the Laguna Beach Police Department, disputed the charge with my credit card company, and filed complaints with the Orange County District Attorney and the California Attorney General. The business obtained my money through false promises and continues to solicit more. I am requesting a full refund of my $1,500. Resolution Sought A full refund of my $1,500 paid on May 31, 2026. I also request that the business stop contacting me to solicit further payments.

Her response confirms that Capital One completed my chargeback and the $1,500 was returned to me. This confirms my dispute was valid. Her account of trying to reach me does not address the substance of my complaint. On July 2 2026, five weeks after the May 31 payment, she called me demanding an additional $5,600, including $2,500 for candles, and told me an evil spirit was causing my problems. I have that call recorded. A later offer to refund me personally does not change what happened on that call. My $1,500 has been returned through my bank. I am not seeking further payment from her. I am asking Business Consumer Alliance to keep this complaint on record so other consumers can see how this business operates.
