Company states; We listed the 1968 Mustang for sale on our website as a consignment sale. The car stayed at the consignor's home but we did have them bring it over for pictures, inspection and a test drive. Everything was in working order and the car was in beautiful shape (the right rear taillight directional signal wasn't working, this was replaced before it was shipped.) Morgan called soon after it was listed and a deal was made. Once shipping was set up we had the consignor bring the car to our business for pick up. The consignor states that the air conditioning was working at that time. After the car was delivered, Morgan stated that the oil pressure gauge, a secondary turn signal and the AC didn't work. We let him know that the car has an optional 3 gauge cluster under the dash and that the oil pressure gauge was there and working. We checked again with the consignor regarding the air conditioning and he again stated that it worked for him although he didn't use it much. We told Morgan that maybe since FL is so much hotter it needed a recharge. We provided Morgan with receipts of work recently done before the consignor put it up for sale. They said that anything that needed to be addressed was taken care of at that time. At that point Morgan stated that he wanted to return the car under the WI 3 day cooling off period. Since this car was not purchased off site, it didn't qualify for return per the WI DMV investigating agent. Even knowing this, we agreed to take the car back at full purchase price providing it was returned in the same condition as it left us and gave Morgan an additional 2 days to decide what he wanted to do. Morgan would have been responsible for the shipping costs. Morgan then stated several times that the car is nice and he wanted to keep it but wanted us to pay for a new compressor. Since the air conditioning was working when it left us, we again told Morgan that we would take the car back but if he wanted to keep it he would be responsible for any repairs. This 1968 Ford Mustang coupe was sold with a clean WI title, no warranties, AS IS as are most used cars. The car was fully restored and in beautiful condition but it is a 55 year old car. In addition, Morgan gave a 1 star review on Google. Although I disagree with this, it is in his rights, however there were several other one star review left over the next few days that almost mimicked his review by people that we have never had any contact with. We can only assume that Morgan is asking his friends or creating false review names to write bad reviews. We have a complete text chain (26 pages) from Morgan where he threatens our business in some exchanges and in response to him sending back the car states that his lawyers said he should keep the car and gives us a smiley face and thumbs up emoji. I've included a few photos (upon request) of the car so you can see what beautiful condition it is in. Regards, Lake Geneva Motors

Customer Rebuttal

Not how it happened, Rick specifically told me the AC was ice cold. When the car arrived the air was hot...not warm or cool but hot...also the guages on the dash were supposed to be in working order and I was also very clear about asking that question since with classics that's what matters...original working components..I told Rick I didn't care about the aftermarket cluster on the floor and I wanted the original ones in the dash to be working to which he stated that the ONLY thing wrong with the car was the blinker and that would be replaced before transport..when the car arrived I immediately asked if there was a trick to feeling the ice cold ac he spoke of to only find out he had no knowledge of it which showed the original ice cold ac he spoke of was a complete lie..if he had felt it then he wouldn't need to ask the owner how to use it..then replied that it simply needed to be recharged. Which once again was NEVER disclosed to be prior to our agreement..also once I picked up the car from my mechanic the other day I had to put gas in it for the first time and noticed the fifty dollars in gas only moved the gas Guage to less than a quarter of a tank which is just another thing

The car air conditioning and fuel gauge were working properly when it left our facitlity. The oil gauge was an upgrade and is part of a cluster that is more precise but can be changed back to the OEM gauge on the dashboard. Morgan has also filed complaints with the WI DMV and the BBB. The DMV inspector came out to review all paperwork and also spoke with the consignor of the vehicle and determined that was no wrong doing on our part and no further action was needed. The BBB also closed the case.
