There was a recall on the Nissan transmission. So, my 2016 Maxima, was at Landers Nissan in Southaven, Ms. 38671, last year in September 2021 for an transmission problem. I got my car back November 3, 2021 with warranty which ever come first , 12 months or 12,000 miles. My miles in and out 73,195 also, mileage now 80,235. It has not even been a year and I'm having the same problem. When, I took my car back to Nissan's in August 2022, two weeks ago. I was told by the General Manager that it was a light bulb starter switch and it will be cover because of a recall on the part from Nissan. I asked, the General manager how do you know it not the transmission. He stated, that mechanic will check both the starter switch and the transmission. He told me that I don't have anything to worry about because both of the parts was cover. So, Mike called and left me a voicemail to pick up my car August 12, 2022. The General manager nor Mike told me or left a voicemail that my car wasn't going to be cover and I had to pay. So, I called, the Nissan Company Dealership at 1800-647-7261. One of the representatives for Nissan stated, to me it's not a campaign for my car. I asked, her what did she mean. She stated, there is no complaints about the year of a 2016. But, I was told by the General Manager and Mike that Nissan was coming in with a starter switch problem and it wasn't the transmission. It wasn't anything said, about the year of the car. Resolution Sought I want the General Manager of Nissan to stand behind his word. He suppose to know what's on recall and the year. If he doesn't know his job, it's not my problem. I had this problem last year with my car won't go in traffic when l come to a stop. I was told it was the the starter switch a week before I talked to the manager about another issue. That's when the manager told me that it's covered under recall. I didn't talk to the mechanic but the manager stated both parts will be covered.

Company Response

Company states: We had to install a new transmission in her vehicle. We took care of the customer's vehicle, and she would not pay the bill. She then wanted us to release her car and asked us to agree to a payment plan, but we don't do that. The customer's car was here until she was able to pay the bill in full. The customer paid the remainder of the bill and now has her vehicle.
