Be careful with this attorney. First meetings with an attorney are generally warm and comforting, no different with MR. Zander. Advised me on my DUI case telling me to appeal to the DMV at first for a hearing which didn't go my way and wasted time and money. Was always very commutative with regard to payments for his service, until I was overbilled(eventually credited). But the biggest misleading came on our final meeting on the date of my court appearanc. In negotiating my DUI to a wet reckless, he advised me that the DA wanted to keep the 3 years probation that usually comes with a DUI as part of the deal. Zander advised me I would be able to submit an early termination based on the facts of my case, no repeat offenses or violations, and financial hardship from the probation ( all facts i upheld) I agreed to the plea , with full understanding and confidence from him in person and again in text to reconfirm the earliest date I could apply for termination of probation and subsequent expungement. When I went to the court, the judge was confused stating I explicitly agreed to 3 years and although my job was lost and I had done everything required of my term was "denied" early termination. I immediately reached out to Zander who stated . I got a difficult judge and would just have to serve the 3 years probation or try the judge in a few months????? A completely different statement than a 18 months earlier when I was told it was a formality. Not that it was up to the residing Resolution Sought Restitution
