Customer Complaint

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a vehicle purchase and subsequent service issues with Leblanc Nissan. On June 19, 2024, we purchased a 2017 Ford Edge from Mr. Rodney at Leblanc Nissan. The very next day, while on a family vacation in Florida, the check engine light illuminated. We contacted the dealership and were advised to bring the vehicle to the service department on the morning of June 24th. During the diagnostic, it was determined that the vehicle required an ignition coil replacement, which was completed at no cost. However, upon leaving the dealership with the repaired vehicle, the check engine light reappeared. We were told that the light may not have been reset properly. Approximately one month later, the vehicle began displaying additional error codes and running hot. We returned the vehicle to the dealership, only to be informed that it now required a new motor. During this visit, we discovered a work order showing that the same issues were present prior to our purchase. This situation indicates that the car was sold with pre-existing problems, and no warranty was provided. Consequently, I am now bound to a loan for a vehicle that is effectively useless without a motor replacement. Despite numerous attempts to contact Mr. Greg Leblanc Jr., the owner, we have received no response. We have been negotiating with Mr. Ryan Reynolds for a resolution, but I am unwilling to purchase another vehicle. Resolution Sought Either pay off my loan so that I can buy a vehicle that is equivalent to what I purchased previously. Or take off what is owed on this car off of a sticker price of an equivalent vehicle.

In an effort to resolve the situation we provided her with a full credit for her original purchase, which she applied forward a different vehicle.
