I purchased a used auto at Legacy Auto Group in May 2024. In October, I took my car to another dealership to get a stripped lug nut removed and I was told I had a leak. I told them I had a warranty and maybe it was covered. They called the warranty company and was told my car did not have coverage. I called the company myself and was told they never received the bill of sale and money. I called Legacy and asked to speak to the sales person that helped me. I was told he was on a "looooooong vacation in Egypt" . I told her what happened and she said "damn" and that she would forward the message. I never heard back and I called twice more. The second time, someone said he was a senior sales person and the problem was on the warranty company end and he would call me back. This is when I called the warranty company and was told they never received documentation or money. The rep told me to call the dealer and ask to speak to someone in finance. I did and someone saying he was Chad the dealership manager took my call. He said it was weird that the contact was not set up and he would look into it and call me back. It's been over a week since that call and I still haven't heard from anyone at the dealership. I called the warranty company again and they still haven't heard from the dealership either and I was told they sent the dealership a request after my first call. Resolution Sought Either send the money and contract in for my warranty or give me my money back. This would put me at a loss though if the car needs repairs that would be under warranty because apparently only the dealer can get the warranty coverage for you.
