I called this business, and explained I needed the spicket, at the back of my house replaced. This person I spoke with, Shane, said he could do it, and said it would be $100 an hour, but it normally takes about 15 minutes, so the lowest amount would be $100.00. I told him that was fine, and he came out. When he got there, he said he didn't not have the piece I needed, and I could go to Lowe's to get it, that he would wait, and "leave the meter running." He also added "It's a hit or miss with Lowe's. Sometimes they have them and sometimes they don't. He said he could put a cap at the end of the hose, where the water comes out, and that's all he could do. He was there about 15 minutes, total, and after putting the cap on, said it was $110.00. This was a Friday, and I attempted to contact the business, but no one answered nor called back. Saturday my wife sent a message on Facebook messenger letting them know they unethically charged us for a service that was not performed, and that Shane had no fixed the issue, which is what I called him out for, that he merely put a cap on the end, and that was not a fix. Still no response. I attempted to call back this morning (Monday 8-28-2023), still no answer. A representative of Legacy Plumbing came to my house knowing the issue, and should have known what part was needed, since they are in the plumbing business. Instead, we had to pay another $100 for a company to come Saturday, to fix what Shane did not.
Resolution Sought
I want my money back. I was unethically charged $110, for the issue to be fixed, but it was not!! Now, I have paid, in total, from both companies, $210! The other business fixed it correctly, and Legacy Plumbing did not!
