I paid my title loan off online before going into the store to save time. Saved a copy of my receipt and everything. When I get in there and let them know I had already paid the loan off online and just need to pick up my title, the so called manager states that their policy is, if someone pay their loan off online they have to wait 30 days before they can get their title back. I went off. How can you hold my title if I've already paid you all your money, not to mention they make you pay all interest payments on their loans before you even start paying towards the principal on the loan. They are robbing and taking advantage of people who are already in a bad situation. They definitely need to be out of business. Not to mention, their 30 day policy is not a corporate policy and when I spoke with someone at corporate about it she just stated that they allow the different states make up their own policies, never mind the legalities.
Stop, illegal practices such as this, make the state of Mississippi step up and stand up to these loan sharks oppressing their citizens with these ridiculous interest fees and nonessential policies that are too far fetch for honest citizens who work hard for their money.
