My Fiancée and I bought a Used Subaru Forester from this dealership under the impression that they were reputable and trustworthy dealership. We soon found out that we were VERY WRONG with that assumption. Within one week of purchasing the car the front passenger caliper became completely destroyed and had to be replaced. That trip to get it replaced was actually done pretty quickly and I don't have any complaints about it. The real problems started shortly after on our way back from Springfield the engine completely died 200 mi from Waukegan and we were forced to get a $500 tow back to the dealership which is still up in the air as to whether we will be reimbursed for. The car has been in their shop now for 45 days and just now today they finally got the approval from the second Warranty company that we had to tell them about because they didn't even know the name or anything about the warranty company they set up for us when we purchased the car less than a month earlier. We were also informed today that the car although approved will not be ready until the end of the week at the earliest so we will now have to extend our rental car another couple of days and hope that the dealership reimburses us for it due to their negligence. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership hands down and for the sake of people that plan on looking at a car at that dealership in the future I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for your car. Very disappointed! Resolution Sought I would like the dealership to make the repairs that they've been required to do immediately. I also feel as though the dealership should reimburse us for both the tow fee and the cost of the rental car that we've been forced to get because of their negligence an inability to fix the car on time. I believe this request to be fair and will be very unhappy If the dealership tries to fight me on this request.
