I recently purchased a 1977 Cadillac from Liberty Car Co in Waterloo, Iowa. Prior to purchasing the car I spoke with a guy by the name of Mr. Alton about requirements before purchasing this vehicle. I made it very clear that I needed the AC/Heat to work, car must run and drive well without any major issues, & that I didn't want a car with major rust issues. When the car arrived at my house it didn't even start & had to be rolled out of the trailer by hand. Car wouldn't start with my jump box or with booster cables. I replaced the alternator & had the battery charged. When I attempted to turn on the AC Or heat I got no response at all. So I attempted to drive up the ramps to change the oil & the car barley drove up the ramps. I immediately messaged to say I hope the transmission wasn't weak because it didn't even want to pull up the ramps. Well I didn't plan to drive this car until my birthday which was December 14th. I got of of my neighborhood & came to the very first red light & noticed that the car didn't want to take off from the red light in a normal manner. Car seemed restricted restricted. I reported this to the seller & took the car to a local transmission shop for service & was told that it definitely was an issue but unclear how minor or major. Technician said it felt like the governor was struck but couldn't check it for me until the 2nd week in January. Seller seemed to want to help at first but is now only offer $500 to help with the repairs. Floor is rotten. Resolution Sought I would like to return the car but I know that's not likely so I would at least need $3500 back to service at the issue that I didn't want in the first place. Service transmission, repair AC System & replace the rusted out floor pan. I have proof of everything I stated. Now they are not even responding to my text messages or returning my phone calls.
