I had a free gov. Phone for ten plus yrs through life wireless . On Oct 30 I called them to turn in a change of address and to do the recert for the free phone service. On that day the man I talked to said I was gone till next yr everything was current and ok. Well Friday Dec. 6 my phone was cut off , no service what so ever not even emergency services. I called them from neighbors house they said they turned off my service cause I switched my carrier and they refused to listen to me so I called lifeline they told me to do a benefit transfer to life wireless with the benefit number they gave me. Lifewiteless refused and insisted I made this mistake ,I tried to explain I did my part and needed my phone cause I have cancer live alone and have two daughters who are pregnant fixing to have babies at any time . They insisted I have to completely sign back up for lifeline even though lifeline said I still have an active account. Now I'm stuck with no phone and Drs that can not get a hold of me to let me know when and where to go for treatment . I know all calls are recorded with both places and yes I admit I got very mad and said some not so nice things but they had refused a supervisor and kept telling me I did it it's my problem I have to fix it. Can anyone pls make these ppl take some responsibility for their actions pls , I have now missed two days of treatment all cause they messed up and I have to pay the price. Resolution Sought Well first u would think cause it's gov. Related they would do better so as to not make out gov. Look bad I just want them to replace my phone and service cause now my sim card won't ever work again they said I would have to get another one and I want whoever canceled or transfered my account to have to own up to his or her mistake and make it right by having more training or investigated to see if he is commiting fraud . Not fired cause life is to hard anyway . Def. More training. Pls thank u

I would love to settle this matter , I needed to keep my phone number but I guess it's too late now. Whoever works for u that changed my service , hence losing my number , did not have my permission to do so. Also the sim card I had had a lot of stuff from my daughters murder case. For some reason that crashed and I lost it all , as for the phone number I needed to keep it cause of my cancer and for the detectives working on who killed my child . No I'm not satisfied. This has caused so much stress and hassel for me to provide everyone with my new number , and not having service for a week caused me to not be able to schedule my ride with caa for my cancer treatments.

We can confirm that we received notification of an NLAD Prepaid Benefit Transfer on 10/30/2024 that you transferred your Lifeline benefit to another service provider. Life Wireless can not transfer a customer's account. This action must be initiated by the consumer to transfer the Lifeline Benefit and Porting in or out of their phone number to another carrier. Unfortunately, Life Wireless can not re-activate an account. You will have to reapply for service with Life Wireless. You can reapply online at www.lifewireless.com.
