Hello - As you know, the parts invoice (receipt) provided to you on 11/21/22 states the terms of refunds in the upper right corner. Special order parts are NOT eligible for refunds. You ordered parts for a 2000 Silverado (which is now 23 years old). We do not stock parts for vehicles of this age. Therefore, we special ordered the parts for you and the invoice clearly states the return/exchange terms of a special order part. Furthermore, we could have still returned the part on your behalf (even though the receipt indicates we will not) IF you returned it with the original packaging. You did not. General Motors does not return parts without the original packaging - and, being that you are a wholesale dealer, you are fully aware of of this policy as it is normal practice in the automotive industry. You also called General Motors and opened a complaint regarding this matter. They, too, informed you that special order parts are not eligible for refund and that, without original packaging, no refunds will be made.

Hello - the consumer did not provide any substance or response to my detailed explanation. Please refer to our official response dated 12/8/22 that states the customer special ordered parts in which the receipt states, in part, "no refunds on special order parts." In addition, the consumer attempted to return the parts without the original packaging. In short, no refund will be made due to the parts ordered had a clear "no refund policy" and the parts were attempted to be returned without original packaging. Both factors played a role in the decision not to return the part. The customer was also informed by General Motors (when he attempted to file a claim with them) of the same policies we are stating here. Also, the customer is a wholesale dealer (meaning he orders parts in medium-to-large volumes through all manufacturers) and is aware that this is standard industry practice. Bought jeep compass,2014 model. As is with a power train warranty. On drive home jeep was losing power, called next morning due to buying jeep late in evening was given 2 and a half week later appointment, broke down on freeway to said appointment, Alternator went out, towed at my expense home. Lithia sent mechanic next day to put new battery to make it to Dealership, replaced Alternator, left lot and car still losing power. Have asked for mechanic to fix said problem several times before I give them the $ 1000 down payment. I ref u se and asked them to either fix jeep or take it back and trade for running, working vehicle. They have three as tend me with sending me and my co signer into collections. I reported problems sooner than 24 hours of purchase. Alternator changed but problem not resolved. I've asked to have it checked not idled but driven to diagnose the real problem which by a code reader a friend has ,it's an electrical problem .I have power train warranty but I reported problem within 24 hours of purchase. I believe I have a month to bring back car that doesn't run.at 14 grand with payments? An electronic problem could be a simple fix or could be devastating?my first payment is going to be due and they want down payment? I want jeep fixed or replace to a running vehicle. They only answer with collection threats? I gave them a check to cash on theb29th but stopped payment because problem not fixed! Help me. Resolution Sought Fix issue or replace vehicle with better one. Take back vehicle and I'll shop elsewhere. Going on 6 weeks with no positive outcome.

Hello Lisa - I tried to call but got your voicemail. We are unaware of any existing issues with your vehicle at the moment. Our records indicate that your $1000 down payment check was returned from the bank for non-sufficient funds (NSF). Please note that it is against the law to write a bad check. Your balance of $1000 is still owed and needs to be paid before we send to collections - these warnings have been to prevent your credit and/or bank from being adversely affected. Regarding your vehicle complaints, I show that we sent a mobile technician to your residence to replace a battery and then brought your vehicle in to be re-inspected. We found that it needed an alternator, which was replaced FREE OF CHARGE (even though this vehicle was sold to you AS-IS) in addition to the battery. Your powertrain warranty does not cover electrical items. There is no "cooling off period" in CA and your vehicle is not eligible to be returned. However, I don't understand why you would want to return it as it's running fine according to our records. It appears you are disgruntled that you still, in fact, owe our store $1000 for your down payment after your check bounced. That money is still outstanding and past-due. Please submit payment immediately to avoid being sent to collections. Thank you, Logan McShane, General Manager
