My fiance and I were going to get married in Mexico in April. Along with some close family members. We hired Live Life Travel because the woman who runs it, Anne, is a friend of my fiancé, Megan. Myself, my mother, and my brother have both paid deposits for $1758, $1570, and $1674 respectively. We each paid for their VPP+ insurance, costing $418, $358, and $358 respectively. The policy if the VPP+ insurance states quote, "You may cancel your vacation for any reason prior to your departure, and receive a refund for the full package price in the original form of payment less the VPP+ plan cost." Last month we decided to cancel so wouldn't have to worry about covid in another country and more family could attend our wedding who were afraid to go to Mexico because of covid. Anne from Live, Life, Travel stated that we have to pay a 10 cancelation fee before we can get our deposit back less the Insurance cost. But that is not what the insurance policy states. This is on top of just absolutely terrible attitude and run around and not responding to me asking about the insurance policy we paid for. Resolution Sought All we would like is what the insurance policy states. Which is a refund in the amount of the deposit less the insurance cost. Thank you.
