Charging for inserts that were placed in newspaper. I did not ask for these inserts. No option to opt out offered on bill.

I paid for a 1 yr subscription, which is not due to expire until Dec 16th 2017. I received bill stating that my subscription was up now and that I need to pay $24.91 to keep my subscription. I called the Los Angeles Times, which connected me to an office that apparently is located overseas, and I explained that I have already paid for my subscription through Dec 16th, 2017. The representative told me that I had to pay for the inserts that were placed in my newspaper at a cost of $3.99 each. I explained that I did not ask for these inserts nor did I have any control over receiving them. I never agreed to receive these, much less pay for them. The company sent these inserts on their own. In reviewing my bill, I noticed that there is no way to opt out of receiving these inserts. The representative told me they would send me a new bill, which I am not sure why because my subscription does not expire until December so the representative did not resolve anything.
