On 07/12/2022, I contacted Laura Gorman in order to book hair and makeup services through her company "Love, Lipstick, and Lashes LLC" for my wedding on 11/18/2022. There were a total of 9 people, including myself, who were to receive both hair and makeup services. On 07/24/2022, I paid Laura a deposit of $162, through a payment link, which covered my bridal hair and makeup services for the wedding day. On 11/15/2022, Laura and I had our final details phone call where I paid her in full ($1,080) for services for 5 bridesmaids and 3 family members. On 11/18/2022, my 5 bridesmaids, 3 family members, and myself met at Laura's studio at 9am to start our hair and makeup. We waited for an hour and neither Laura or her team called or showed up. I called Laura several times, but it went straight to voicemail. At 10:55a.m., Laura stated she was in the hospital and she asked if everything was going okay. I told Laura that no one showed up and asked for a full refund. I did not hear back from Laura until 11/22/2022 when she told me that she just got out of the hospital and would refund me. Laura texted me on 11/29/2022 and stated that she was in the hospital again. On 12/06/2022, I messages Laura about my refund again. After messaging for a while, Laura gave me back only $1,080 of my refund. She refused to return the $162 deposit (that was for my bridal services) because the contract stated the deposit was non refundable. However, the bridal services were never performed.
