Customer Complaint

I called this company and told them that I wanted to pay off my two credit cards I owed on. They stated that I was able to do a settlement payment for $299 for both owed. They said that all I needed to do was give them permission to pull up my credit report. They asked what card I wanted to use and I told them this will pay off both accounts on my report the male representative said as I told u before yes u show here to qualify for the settlement. Upon them running my card they took $299.00 + $1.00 and I got emails from Credit Glory and identityIQ . I called and have my emails stating this was incorrect I didn't sign up for a credit repair I was told it was a settlement and they lied. They now will not return my emails or I can't get a representative to help me. This company is on my CREDIT REPORT AND YET THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND LIED. Resolution Sought Refund my money or remove the items from my report as stated when their representative talked to me on the phone.

Company states; LVNV Funding LLC currently owns the two accounts referenced in the Inquiry. Resurgent Capital Services LP is the servicer of these accounts. At Resurgent, we take our customer service and consumer protection obligations very seriously and have dedicated significant resources to our compliance- related functions. I have personally reviewed Ms. Charlesworth's inquiry and believe the following information will address their concerns. The first account, account #379364021058493, reference #758699800, originated on April 29, 2022 with Credit One Bank, N.A. The account charged off on March 13, 2023 with a balance of $983.19. LVNV acquired this account on April 14, 2023. No payments have been received on this account since it was acquired by LVNV. A judgment was obtained on the account ending in 8493 January 17, 2024 in the Tower County Clerk District Court, North Dakota with case number 48-2024CV-00006. Our records indicate that Ms. Charlesworth was served the summons and complaint on December 11, 2023. As of the date of this communication the current balance is $1130.51. The second account, account #6369924011249904, reference #754128691, originated on April 12, 2022, with WebBank and was opened with Fingerhut. The account charged off on February 16, 2023 with a balance of $314.81. LVNV acquired this account on March 29, 2023. No payments have been received on this account since it was acquired by LVNV. The current account balance is $314.81. With its purchase of these accounts, LVNV acquired all ownership rights, including the rights to collect on these accounts and to report to the credit bureaus, if eligible. Currently, these accounts are being reported to the credit bureaus on behalf of LVNV tradelines for these accounts to disputed will be submitted to the credit bureaus during the next reporting cycle. Resurgent Capital Services, LP does not have a relationship with Credit Glory or identityIQ referenced in the inquiry and as noted above, no payments have been received on either account by the current owner or servicer as the date of this response.
