Driver continued to drive for an hour after dropping me off on my credit card and scammed me ! He was on the phone the whole time talking to his friend laughing the whole ride and the whole time he was planning to scam me. Then I contacted Lyft and they hung up on me after charging me $100 telling me it takes 5-7 days and they will only refund the remaining. Resolution Sought A refund

I was visiting Colorado March 4 through March 11 2024. From upstate NY. We took a Lyft to the shopping outlet on Sunday March 10th . 15 minutes after being dropped off I realized I left my phone in the Lyfts car of Albert who dropped us off. I immediately attempted to get ahold of Lyft and had much difficulty . I had to use the chat portion of the Lyft information as you could not get a human. After a few hours the chat did nothing. Filed a dispute on the app and it took hours to get back to no help at all. I gave them all the information of the car the driver and the time and date. They were to reach out to driver on Monday the 11th. It is now March 19th and have gotten no where! They now tell me the driver is not responding and they are an independent contractor and have no responsibility for what they do ! I have the find my phone app and locator and my daughter pinned the phone for 3 days in the Denver area and then last ping was in boulder Colorado until the battery died ! I have no right to contact the driver not Lyft is not holding their contractor responsible at all! What recourse do I have! I am now going to report it stolen ! Please advise me.. This is not right and get no support from Lyft! Resolution Sought Hold the company responsible for their contractors. They have very little support for any issue that occurs. This could have been nipped immediately if I could have support and get ahold of someone that actually could help.
