Home Equity Line of Credit

I currently have a $6000 Home Equity Line of Credit that your bank opened for me when I got my mortgage. I recently received a letter stating I would need to renew this line. I have rarely used this line, however, I like to keep for emergency situations. When I called over the phone as stated by the letter, the service rep asked for my social security number in total. I never give that over the phone to anyone. That is a ridiculous request made by your company. With all of the scams now a days you should know better than that. She said I would have to go into a branch to fill out applications in order to renew this line. This was reason I called in the first place so I would not have to waste time in a branch. I have 50% equity in my home, a 817 credit score, keep avg balance of close to $10k in checking and your bank is asking me to fill out an application for a $6k line of credit? Are you kidding me? Also, you would spend the money to have my house reappraised for such a small amount? Is there no common sense anymore? Or is it that your service reps can't think on their own? Either way it is a terrible way to do business. I am retired with over $1 million dollars in retirement account and you are asking me to fill out a income form? That will never happen. I am totally dissatisfied with your bank. And once the mtg rates keep decreasing, I will look to move my accounts to a different bank that values my business. I don't expect to receive a reply from anyone in your company as I'm sure this is how you do business. You do not care about customers. I worked in a bank for over 30 years and we did not treat our customers like this. Thank you for showing your true colors.
