I was a loyal patron for 30 years $60,000 worth of premiums an no filed claims. I was recently told I can not use wood heat in house and out buildings My stoves are all installed to NFPA requirements. This is not an option for me all my buildings are set up for wood heat plus for years I paid an up charge for each stove. Now I get kicked to the curb after after all these years. It makes no sense propane or natural gas is more dangerous then any wood fire stove. If you think gas's don't night fumes you better go back to science class. I will spread the news on how maple valley takes your money while stabbing you in the back. Very disgusted in company that operate like this. The people need to know. Resolution Sought I don't think they will refund me 30 years of holding a farm policy

The above referenced policy is active and set to renew if all Loss Prevention Requirements (LPR) are complied with by 2024-07-30. If MVMIC seeks to change coverage provided by the above referenced policy, you will receive proper notice under Wisconsin law. The recent Loss Prevention Requirement (LPR) Form (form) (enclosed to BCA for review) was mailed as a result of a periodic on site inspection conducted on 2023-07-18 and 2023-07-19 (inspection). Based upon the current condition of and quantity of installation issues including violations with NFPA Codes & Standards MVMIC elected to start with requiring both Wood Burning Units (WBU) be removed from the outbuildings and one of the two WBUs be removed from the dwelling. The letter (enclosed to BCA for review) that accompanied the form indicates if you have any questions to contact your agent and for easy reference provides your agent's contact information. The above referenced policy is active and set to renew if all Loss Prevention Requirements (LPR) are complied with by 2024-07-30. Loss Prevention Requirements are forward-looking only, nothing about these requirements changes your past coverage or current coverage. If MVMIC seeks to change the coverage provided by the above referenced policy, you will receive proper notice under Wisconsin law. MVMIC's in-house claims experience, as well as industry-wide data of which we are aware, shows that permanent WBU solid fuel heat sources are far riskier than permanent propane or natural gas heat sources. The difference in loss history is precisely why WBUs are subject to a surcharge. While no heating source is entirely without risk, especially when installed incorrectly, data shows permanent solid fuel heat sources cause the more fires when compared to others. If you believe and decide to act on the above statement, MVMIC requests you begin being objective and truthful about the scenario. If you are not accepting of the above referenced LPRs, you have the right to cancel the above referenced policy at any one. The Loss Prevention Requirements are forward-looking only. Nothing about these requirements changes your past coverage or current coverage. If MVMIC seeks to change the coverage provided by the above referenced policy, you will receive proper noOce under Wisconsin law.
