Thank you for contacting us. Based on our review Ms. Gebhard's account is currently past due for two full contractual payment obligations. All attempts to contact her were in an effort to discuss the account delinquency and potentially offer assistance. Contrary to Ms. Gebhard's statements, there is no documentation prior to April 2, 2023 of any prior payment arrangement or stated reason for delinquency. On April 2. 2024, Mariner was able to successfully contact Ms. Gebhard and based on account notes, Ms. Gebhard requested that Mariner follow up with her again on Thursday, April 4, 2024 . If Ms. Gebhard does not wish to be contacted by Mariner moving forward in regards to her account, she may contact her servicing branch location to make that request, or she may contact Mariner's Customer Relations Department at 844-338-2080.. As a courtesy, we would like to remind Ms. Gebhard that her account is currently past due for February 15 and March 15, 2024, payment obligations. The partial payment in the amount of $150 was received on March 29, 2024, and appropriately applied to the account.

This company keeps sending checks in the mail to our address. The last check they sent was for $4,550 in my husband's name. On the front of the envelope, it states "check enclosed, open immediately." We have called this company & asked to be removed from their mailing list because all you have to do is sign the check & deposit it into your account. Then you have a loan with them. We advised the company that it wasn't safe for us to receive that type of offer in our mail & if someone other than us got the mailing & signed that check, we didn't want to be responsible for it . They refused to remove us from their mailing list & since that time, we have received two more of these checks. Resolution Sought Remove my husband's name, Thomas C. Grissett from their mailing list immediately.

Because it is apparent that this complaint was sent on behalf of Mr. Grissett, and not Mr. Grissett himself, we are unable to honor this request to remove him from our marketing list. In order to assist with this request, the request must be received from the actual consumer for whom the solicitation was intended. Furthermore, Mariner has no record of having previously receiving a request of this nature from Mr. Grissett. Should Mr. Grissett wish to be removed from future solicitation from Mariner, we ask that he contact our Customer Relations Department at 844-338-2080.
