Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. Company states; Please be aware that SureTec Insurance Company issued a contractor's license for Built Rite Construction. We received a notice of claim against that bond. We emailed and mailed notice of the claim to Built Rite on 1/18/22. Follow-up emails, letters and phone calls to Built Rite Construction went unanswered. We also received a copy of a judgment that the claiming party received against Built Rite. Please note that Built Rite has an indemnity agreement with SureTec whereby they agreed to hold us harmless. Since Built Rite did not comply with the terms of the indemnity agreement and failed to cooperate with our investigation, we properly issued a notice of cancellation for the bond. We were required to notify the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) of the cancellation. Built Rite was then free to pursue bonding from another surety.
